Biotope presents at the ‘Bats of Bourges’ event

Biotope was at the bat event entitled ‘Meet the Bats’ of the SFEPM. This symposium took place in Bourges from March 14 - 16, 2014.

Close to 450 people signed up for this, the 15th anniversary, bringing together professionals and amateurs from all over France. The event allowed experts in the field to present their latest findings in population monitoring, inventory methods, as well as genetic and physiology studies.

Biotope presented their recently developed technologies from our R&D section and our experts presented on topics like the distribution patterns of the Giant noctule, geographic variations of acoustic emissions amongst the Pipistrelles as well as for the “Le Vespère”, a francophone publication of chiropterology, free and available online.

The latest naturalist reviews and publications were available at our stand, including the new edition of « Ecologie acoustique des chiroptères d’Europe » by Michel Barataud. The most recent ultrasound recorder, SM3, was available for preview and demonstration.
