Promoting Biodiversity around the world

The Fondation’s actions can be carried out alone or by French or foreign individuals, associations, businesses or communities.

Organisation and promotion of World Wetlands Day

Organisation and promotion of World Wetlands Day

In 2017, the Fondation supported the PEGAZH Association for the organisation of World Wetlands Day at the Salons Curnonsky in Angers (France). For three days, the general public was invited to conferences, debates, discussions, round tables and to meet professionals. Booths were set up on water and wetlands topics. A competition and exhibition rewarded the most beautiful wetland photos (with naturalist works published by Editions Biotope as prizes). Naturalist outings open to everyone and led by professionals and students helped the public discover the emblematic wetland species. Finally, activities were held in schools throughout 2017 and until the week prior to the World Wetlands Day.

Orchisauvage

Orchisauvage

Since 2014, the Fondation has been supporting the Orchisauvage project, a collaborative site collecting and sharing orchid observations in metropolitan France coordinated by the Société Française d’Orchidophilie (SFO). Its main objective is to share information for the purposes of knowledge (including research) and conservation.

MITARAKA mission

MITARAKA mission

The Fondation participated in the "Planète revisitée" exhibition, coordinated by Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle and Pro-Natura International. This program aims to inventory land and underwater biodiversity in Guyana in the heart of the Tumuk Humak Mountains, an unexplored ecological paradise in the Mitaraka massif region on the Brazilian border, at the south-western tip of Guyana.
