A photographic competition celebrating Nature

Since 1964, this competition, organised by the Natural History Museum in London, has brought photographers from every country.  This year, 48 000 photos, representing the work of photographers from all over the world, were entered for the competition. Finally, only 100 photos were selected by the  Jury!

A paper edition is offered for sale by the Biotope Éditions’ new naturalist shop. Each photo from Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2019  is accompanied by a caption which gives details of the context and the conditions in which it was taken, bringing an new dimension which invites the readers to immerse themselves in each picture.

This portfolio illustrates both the beauty and the drama inherent in Nature and the often conflictual relations that we have with her.
