Lyon-Turin link – Preparatory work of the base tunnel

Since 2012, Biotope has been assisting TELT on environmental issues for the cross-border section of the Lyon-Turin link, obtaining regulatory environmental authorisations for protected species.

Biotope conducted inventories of natural environments/wildlife/plants and drafted a number of application files for exemptions to the prohibition of destruction of protected species in various phases of the project (base tunnel, Saint-Martin-la-Porte, etc.). More specifically regarding the base tunnel, Biotope was commissioned to provide environmental assistance to the project owner for the implementation of environmental measures required by the prefectoral exemption order from the prohibition of destruction of protected species.
