Hydrofluv – FUI (Single Inter-Ministry Fund)

Support for the implementation of an experimental prototype for a river current turbine and definition of an impact study plan for these new infrastructures

The FUI – AAP15 “Hydrofluv” concerns the development and testing of a river current turbine which will enable the kinetic energy of watercourses to be captured to supply regular and economical production of electricity.

Within the framework of a group of structures, we are responsible for:

  • drawing up the initial fauna-flora report for the future installation site and for the assessment of the potential impacts on the Natura 2000 site of the Loire in Orléans (temporary occupation permit) ;
  • monitoring the impacts over 3 years during the installation and working phases;
  • defining the outline of an impact study concerning the installation of future river current turbine farms in France and abroad.
